Riverside

Riverside is one of Princeton's larger residential neighborhoods, running along Route 27/Nassau Street and bordering Carnegie Lake. Its primary draw is the Riverside Elementary School zone, which generates consistent family demand and helps maintain strong resale values across the neighborhood.

The housing stock spans a wide range of eras, from pre-war homes to mid-century colonials and split-levels, all the way to new lakefront mansions that are among the most notable properties in Princeton. The lakefront section along Carnegie Lake has seen significant new construction, with custom-built estates commanding premium prices. Away from the water, you'll find a broad range of conditions from original to fully renovated.

Location-wise, Riverside runs along Route 27, with the neighborhood's western edge closer to downtown and its eastern portions nearer to Route 1 and the Princeton Shopping Center. Carnegie Lake is a defining amenity, offering rowing, walking trails, and scenic views that few other Princeton neighborhoods can match.

With roughly 60 closed sales in the past year, Riverside is one of Princeton's most active markets by transaction volume. That liquidity is a plus for both buyers and sellers: there's enough turnover to establish clear comparable values, and homes that are priced well tend to move efficiently.
